Punkin

Haven was very excited about all the pumpkins this fall. I'm sure that is just a small preview of the excitement that will come with all the Christmas decor. To encourage her enthusiasm, we took a few trips to see many pumpkins...

Our first trip to the Arboretum was in September, so the weather was still pretty toasty.

By October, it had cool off a little bit
I was very proud of Haven for waiting so patiently for her turn in the Cinderella carriage.
Climbing the hay with her sweet friend, Walker
Haven was adamant that Walker's mommy take pictures of her too

While I was at a fundraiser for Lindsay, Daddy and Haven went to a pumpkin patch to get some front porch decorations for our house.
Haven loves the baby pumpkins - just the right size for her to carry.
The squirrels at our house are relentless. Not only do they tease and torment our dog all the time, but they destroyed all of our pumpkins. Haven would go out front everyday to check on our pumpkins and talk about "quirrels eat da punkins - yuck!" Her version and animation of the story were pretty cute, but the darn squirrels and therefore the pumpkins, were not.

Grammy made a ton of pumpkin and ghost cookies that Haven loved! You know she would eat that whole tray if someone would let her.

For Halloween, Haven and I took a trip to a different pumpkin patch where we fed goats...

took a hayride (with a Kindergarten class on a field trip)...
checked out all the horses...
posed with the yard art...

picked out some more pumpkins/squirrel food to take home with us...

ran through the maze with the big kids...
and relaxed in the hay...it was a fun, but exhausting outing!
I am not a big fan of Halloween, but you can't go wrong with "punkins" and fall weather!
