OKC - Family Reunion Style

My Grandma (aka GG) has 6 great-grandchildren, 5 of which are under the age of 2, with three living in Texas and three living in Kansas. So, we had the grand idea for everyone to meet in the middle and spend a weekend in Oklahoma City. It was a grand idea, except we did it the last weekend in August and it was about a million degrees. Weather aside, it was good fun and great to see all the little ones together.

Everyone drove into town on Friday (Haven did great on this road trip - just lots of snacks and lots of movies) and most of us met for dinner at Toby Keith's bar. It was kind of chaotic and a very late night for the little ones, but what can you expect when dining with 20 people?!

I swear this child would never go to bed if we didn't make her. The later it is and more tired she gets, the more wound up she becomes. Here she is partying in the hotel lobby.
All but three of us went to the OKC bombing memorial on Saturday morning. It was great to see, but not exactly toddler fun so some of us probably got more out of it than others/me ;)
Playing in the children's area of the memorial - Avery, Heather, Hampton, and Haven all looking thrilled!

This picture was actually taken on Sunday, but sums up Emily and Haven's Saturday afternoon really well.

We all gathered for some photos before departing on Sunday morning. Emily was a really great babysitter all weekend; she and Haven get along famously for two only children!
GG with all her greats - Asher (7ish months), Hampton (15ish months), Blake (5ish months), Haven (21mos), Emily (10), Avery (21mos)
Aunt Dee (#3), Erika, Asher, and Michael
Sean, Stephan, Nicholas, Heather, Hampton, Ann (#4), Johanna, Kelley, Avery
Benton, Pawpa (#1), Brandon, Kim, Amy, Emily, Grammy, Haven, me
I was taking pictures with Caley and Patrick's camera, so I missed the pictures of Sherri's (#2) family.

It really was great to have everyone together, hopefully we can do it again soon...but maybe not in August next time and maybe we'll find another exotic location to explore :)
